Softball

What to do about softball. There are few things that I do that I love more than softball, so you can understand the dilemma I face in figuring out what to do. We have been playing softball for the last 7 years, it has been a blast, and we have created quite a reputation around town as being one of the more competitive teams.

However, I have been struggling getting people to pay, let alone show up for games. It becomes frustrating to me because I have a lot of money invested in this, simply because people fail to pay me back the league fees. Fees run me $1,500 twice a year, the occasional non-payer is expected, but the last two seasons have gotten ridiculous. Now in addition to people not paying, they are not showing up.

So I have a lot of money invested in a game that I love, but can't ever win because we can never field a full team. And the times we can field a full team the chemistry is not there because there are unfamiliar people playing unfamiliar positions, just annoying.

I have decided to take a season off in hopes of sparking a little more interest and possibly accountability. But in doing so means I will no longer be playing ball on all those nice warm summer nights.

What to do........

Too bad we're not closer....Jer would love to play, he'd also pay the fees as well as show up!

Right now he's helping to coach Kyle's T-ball team the Rockies.

BTW...I'm dying over here...any baby yet???

Well, we all know that I would love to play and yes, I too would pay the fees, lol. I think it will be a good time off and ya the sparks should fly for the next season. Saddly some people don't know what they have until it's not there anymore.

Here's an idea... You pitch and pplay the infield and I'll run the outfield, lol.

Aaron would play in a heart beat, you know that! As for fees...he'd pay those too AND he's an accountant that has to count for something! haha Any baby YET??? We were just talking tonight wondering what the name could be, we are very curious!

I'm sure whatever yname you have chosen will be just perfect =) Things are good. I'm hating the weather that dropped a good 50 degrees since the beginning of the week! Of course we are busy as always and the last thing we would ever need to do is add another thing to our plate. But if we were home I now it would be softball! We are missing our Chance friends much!
